Shikisai Miyako Damascus knives are made in the city of Seki, the most famous home of cutting tools in Japan.
The blade, made from AUS8 and low carbon martensite steel, is 33 layer Damascus using the artisinal techniques of the famed blacksmiths of Seki to attain extraordinary sharpness. After mirror-polishing, a matte finish is applied to achieve a soft lustre.
The handle is made of laminated wood and its finely crafted rounded shape is designed to fit snugly and comfortably in your hand.
